The Short Box podcast happens to be from Jax, FL, which is awesome because I happen to be from there and not a lot of things I know of happen to be from Jax which is Amazing! But, It’s an amazing podcast for talk or information on many comic books, some events, and such topics. This includes interviews with people who inspired such pop culture topics or even some comic artists! Even this podcast is great for me! I’m a big fan of Batman, Spider-Man, Shazam and more and I would love to know more all the time so I really appreciate podcasts like this! It’s a great podcast and I especially love that it’s for those who are all sorts of fans, from new to comics and those who already know all of the lore! It’s dope! I’m someone who has a few Batman comics, a few deadpool things but it doesn’t mean at all that I don’t love them! I even cosplay the Joker! I’m definitely going to listen to the short box podcast way more often now!

This is the best comic book pod on the airwaves. I started collecting comics in the 1970’s and have listened to many pods that haven’t stood the test of time. The Short Box is different. Badr is the most amazing host, the other guys and gal that hop in and out of the episodes are great as well. Their knowledge, passion and love for comics is evident and I look forward to this pod every week!

This podcast has really hit its stride! Long story short, it’s the best comic culture podcast in the world! Badr, Cesar, Ed, and Ashley (and sometimes Drew and Walter) pretty much all aspects of comic culture are discussed at some point. Comics, movies, tv series, books, animated series, they hit it all! The champion season portion at the end of every show is particularly good because it's always turning me on to some nerd culture fare that I haven't found yet. They keep me in the know, and now YOU know.

It's pretty simple, this is the best comic book and pop culture podcast you'll find anywhere. I've been listening now for almost 4 years and been a patron member for the last year. Badr Is the hardest working man in the industry and leads a stellar crew starring Ashely, Cesar, and Ed. The camaraderie amongst the crew is always top tier. I highly recommend the artist spotlight episodes as they are the best of the best. Hasta la próxima.

I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts, but when I do, I listen to the Short Box. I enjoyed being on the show years ago, and they must be doing something right since they are still around. They cover a broad range of pop culture geeky goodness so I recommend checking them out if you like that sort of thing :)

Badr and his rotating team of experts continue to impress and entertain me every show! You can tell they have done their research before each episode and bring a level of professionalism & expertise that is greatly appreciated. Some of my personal favorite ShortBox podcasts are the recent DIsney+ MCU episode breakdowns and Patreon-driven topics.

Insightful and well organized, the team of the shortbox cover the latest news on comics and various fandom with commentary that is candid yet knowledgeable. It’s like hanging out with all your nerdy friends talking about what you love but they came with the facts! Working in the medical field, my life has been hectic and I definitely don’t have time to read or game like I want to but The Shortbox has fit into the few free moments of my life and has been a great way to keep me informed and connected to the things that brighten my day.

One of few podcast I can actually recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Been listening to SBX for at least 5 years now. Didn’t come in with any comic experience but stayed for the camaraderie of the cast. In this time they’ve greatly improved on weekly comic updates, hosted events of various sizes, dipped their legs into creator and character history, and have gotten insanely deep into interviewing respected comic creators. Their wide-spread content is an inspiration to be more open-minded about the medium. Their local events are a motivation to meet others in the same boat. ❤️

A local podcast that highlights everything in pop culture and brings comic fans to the forefront. I can’t thank them enough for what they give to the universe, growing up I didn’t know much about comics outside of movies due to no exposure to them about 3 years ago I got introduced to this podcast and they’ve been a stepping stone in my life. Shortbox nation stand up!

These boys and girls know some comics. They bring a close friend vibe that most pop culture comic related casts can’t touch. The banter and jokes make me laugh every time. I love the segments and their artist spotlights as well as the special television show/movie episodes. They have constantly put me on to some great books. In a sea of comics it’s nice to have people with great recommendations. If you enjoy comics talk that’s not taken super serious, but is legit then this is your cast. Make mine a Shortbox!

I used to read comic books regularly until about high school and didn’t become interested again until the Marvel Movies launched. However, as good as they were, it wasn’t enough to fully get my butt in gear. The Shortbox Podcast has single handedly changed that! The whole crew is extremely witty, insightful, and just plain fun to listen to. Their chemistry is unmatched and their connection to comic scene and their local community is top tier. I'm glad there's a comic book and pop culture podcast that represents Jacksonville. I enjoy listening to the show at five in the morning when I’m at work. I appreciate the fact that not only do you guys geek out to comic book culture but you also deep-dive into the content as well, from various themes and narrative to the art styles within the pages. I've been listening to these guys (and Ashley) since the early days and they never dissapoint! My go to source for comic book and pop culture commentary. Between their live shows, amazing guests, movie reviews, champion season, and show recaps, this crew delivers!

Badr and the guys (and Ashley) are the most knowledgeable comic people I have heard on a podcast yet. And they’re local to Jax! If you can get past the constant overuse of the words “yo”, “like”, “word”, and “dope” then you will love these guys and their funny banter and depth of knowledge of all things comic related. Excellent work.

The only gripe I have with the crew of the Short Box is that they have ruined other podcasts for me. This was the first cast I ever listened to and I judge every podcast against it. I highly recommend listening on the way to work, on the treadmill, or at work during down time. The information is great in spotlight episodes and every time the crew gets together it reminds me of all the nerd conversations I’ve had with my friends in my own life. 5 stars on yelp. Would eat here again.

I am not a fan of podcasts. Not because I don't like them, just because I don't have time to track them down. This podcast is worth the effort. I have all episodes downloaded and listen to them while I paint in my studio. Thanks fam, for bringing up the street cred of Jacksonville and keeping a beat on all things nerdy. I'm subscribed to a bunch of geek related podcasts but this ones by far the most entertaining. Love the cast!

My first time hearing the show I was lucky enough to sit in and listen to it live. I've never been big on comics so I honestly thought I would only hear them out for at least 15 mins--but an hour and then some later I was still glued to my seat! The show's energy, undeniable humor, and ability to reach out to such a wide variety of audiences is nothing short of admirable. Check em out, you won't regret it!

I can't believe I never wrote up a review for the podcast, and I'm a regular listener! I had a ton of fun being on the show to talk up my indie comic (and I really enjoyed the Hawkman action figure that was bestowed upon me). But more than that, the show is a ton of fun to listen to! I have it on while I'm drawing and it's always a great listen!

Full disclosure: I was a guest on the show, so there might be a level of bias in this. I was thoroughly surprised at how much I enjoyed being a part of the podcast. Badr actually knows what he's doing behind the soundboard, and all the guys actually read comics. I know that sounds like an obvious compliment, but you'd be surprised at how many people talk about comics and only keep themselves inside the box of DC or Marvel. While yes, that stuff is great, comics are expanding in such different creative directions that's important for people to highlight a variety of books when they talk about them. And that's exactly what these guys do.

I love this podcast. I listen to it while I work from home. The hosts and guests always have a great rhythm and mesh together well. And it's funny. Has anyone mentioned it's funny yet? It's really funny.
